Rejuvenates by Massage Therapy

Hi girls,

And nowwww, the another arrival of awesome and exciting July's project from The Butterfly Project about "Keeping Calm & Relax". Definitely I'm-not-going-to-let-go-event especially when it deals with MASSAGE PARTY ^.^v

Living in this metropolitan city, stress is no longer a 'stranger' to us. And I can say that, stress can be our so-called 'best-friend'. Stress that we lived with everyday can bring a lot of disadvantage to our body, it can makes us to look older, can lower down our body immune system, hormone imbalance, and sometimes it can affect your relationship with friends and family members.

But, we can mess with the stress by doing massage therapy. (At least I mess with the stress together with the other 49 bloggers, so I won't feel alone hahaha). Here's why do I love massage session so much? *from head to toe*

Head massage can help me to get rid of the sun-exposure headache. Besides, it's good for my hair-fall issue. Head massage definitely is good to strengthen my hair roots.

Our shoulder and neck together hold up the heaviest part of the body and it is connected to our back.  (carrying my heavy hand bag can be very tiring too >.<) Shoulder and back massage can provides me with deep relaxation to the stressed shoulder muscles, stimulates the flow of blood and improves the functioning of the lymph system. On top of that, shoulder massage is a natural analgesic because it stimulates the release of endorphins.

The benefits of foot massage are many, and recipients say they are more than worth their weight in gold, as all your body nerves are connected to your foot. To cut it short, foot massage can improve my blood circulation and cleansing, rejuvenation and enhance my body immunity. Wearing high heels during my working hour is no longer an issue.

TIPS: How to Maintain Our Nasal Hygine?

Hi guys,

How are you feeling today? Did you wear your face mask and drink plenty of water? ^^

This photo above was taken at 1100 am on Monday morning.

It's very important for us to take care of the health of our lung, as well as our nose. Nose is the pathway to good respiration. It forms the initial barrier against the outside elements that we breathe. As an air conditioner, the nose humidifies and warms up the air breathed in. And as a filter, it cleans the air of its external particles.

Therefore, when it is too dry and congested, the nose cannot function properly and automatically, our body's defence is weakened against viral or bacterial infections or allergens.

Most of us are aware of the good points purchasing an air purifier, which to help us to purify and filter the air in our room. However, we also need to build a good habit to start cleaning the 'gate' as well as the 'filter' of our body, which is our beloved NOSE. ^^

This antipollutant weapon is called as STERIMAR. Sterimar is an isotonic filtered sea water solution, 100% natural and free from preservatives. Its gentle microdiffusion spray is able to increases the contact time with the nasal mucosa, providing better absorption of its mineral salts and marine trace elements, leading to immediate respiratory comfort especially during hazy situation like now.

Direction to use:
1. Gently insert the nozzle into the nostril
2. Press the nozzle briefly
3. Let any excess solution run out then blow your nose
4. Remove nozzle and wash with soapy water, rinse and dry
5. Repeat the procedure for the other nostril

Safe to be use up to 6 times a day for each nostil

Picture above shown that the composition of Sterimar are only sea water and purified water. Its safe for children and adults.

Question: Is there any nasal spray hygine for baby?
Answer: Yes there is another version of Sterimar for baby

Sterimar is also quite economical. It cost for only RM24.70 for 50mL and can be found at your nearest pharmacy. The tips can be pull off and wash with warm water after usage, so you can share it with your family members :)

I hope this post will helps and start to clean and show some love to your NOSE by using Sterimar today <3

REVIEW: Daiso Pore Care Pack

Hi guys,

Today I will sharing with you with some of the beauty awareness on why it is so important for us to take care of our skin pores. Maintaining clean, healthy skin pores is important to maintain a healthy and healthy-looking skin. Dirt and oil on your face will collect around your pores and when those pores get clogged, it creates a pile-up of oil and dead skin cells in the follicle. Our little friends, bacteria, will make their way to the blockage and the growth in bacteria will cause inflammation.

And where is our contribution? By poking, squeezing, rubbing the blocked pore (which will not help anything) ? OR by doing a good maintenance of our skin pores?

However, its never been too late. We must start to take care of our pores. Like us, we need to breathe, our pores need to breathe too ^^

Below are the products that I personally EVER used for me to maintain clean and healthy pores...

Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

Skin Food Chlorella Nose Clear Patch

LANEIGE Pore Minimizing Pack

LANEIGE Plus Renew Purifying Mask

When comes to beauty products, my attention usually is tends to be at the higher end products. But this doesn't mean that 'cheaper' product cannot perform at their best :) Am I right?

Until... I met with this product (introduced by Melissa) Daiso Pore Care Pack. It comes in a small box, contains 4 pieces which only cost me for RM5.00 !!!

Each pieces come with a package. So its quite hygiene and easy to bring around for travelling purpose.

Start with a clean face (means after you wash it with your facial soap). Wet your nose with water. We need it to be wet as its hard to paste the pack on dried skin. Remember not to directly wet the pack as it may weaken the effect.

Then, remove the transparent sheet by dried hand. Paste the sheet from the middle of pack and press after the shape of your nose. Wait it to dry for 10-15 minutes (while waiting you can read my other blog post :P). After 15 minutes, remove it from the outer part to middle.

This product is recommendable to use 1 time per week.

From my nose.

You can see a little bit of blackheads.

Above is the result from Jonathan's nose. Hehehe. As you can see, there's more blackheads stick at the pack. Means this pack is recommendable. Cheap, easy to find and effective!! Am I right? :)

 Another closer caption.

I tried with flash on.

I hope this post is helpful and stay beautiful <3

TUTORIAL: How to Draw Winged Eyeliner for Asian Single Eyelid

Hi guys,

It's Wednesday already and this means its another day closer to Friday *yayy*

In this blog post, I will be sharing with you guys on how usually I draw my winged eyeliner with Bobbi Brown long last gel eyeliner, and featuring Bubbi's detail brush.

And yes, all you need are just
  1. Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner (or any other your favourite pencil / liquid eyeliner) ^^
  2. Eyeliner brush (I recommend the Skin Food eyeliner brush, for reasonable price and good quality)

1.   I started to draw a thin line with a clean eye, to basically mark the shape of my eyeliner.
Tips 1: If you want to apply eyeshadow, apply it BEFORE you draw your eyeliner.
Tips 2: If your eyelids are oily, you can powder it first or apply an eyeshadow base

2.   Make sure the lines are ABOVE your eyelids when you opened your eyes, we want it t be obvious and visible.

3.   Next, examine where you want your wing to be, use your lower lashline as reference. You want it to look like a continuous line extended out 45 degree from your lower lashline like shown in the picture above (final artwork on how you want it to be).

4.    After you satisfied with the shape of your eyeliner is going to be, continue drawing your full   eyeliner by drawing a thicker line.

5.   Now fill the inside lines

6.   And THAT'S IT !!!
You can experiment as you'd wish in making the wing longer or even do a double wings.

Hope this post is helpful and you can send me feedback by letting me know what kind of eyeliner shape do you like ^^

See you guys soon in my next post.

XOXO

With love,
Silviana.

REVIEW: DRx Essential Facial

Hi Ladies,

On Monday, I did my facial at DRx Medispa, located at Plaza Damas, Sri Hartamas. I'm not a facial-lover and I can say that this was the third time I did my facial. The first and second facial was done at Herbaline. I like Herbaline service and facial products but now I'm using LANEIGE.

Essential Facial is DRx's fundamental treatment for the maintenance of a good complexion. It consists of Ultrasonic Cleansing, Ultrasonic Nutrient Delivery (PG-vit), a therapeutic facial mask and microdermabrasion.

Before starting with the facial, the beauty consultant took a photo of my face skin and they start with ultrasonic cleansing. Basically this ultrasonic cleansing uses an ultrasound device to eliminate dead cells from the skin surface and loosen impurities, oil and comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) that are embedded in pores. With this exfoliation of the dead skin cells, it allows for more effective penetration of the therapeutic substances that follow.

After the exfoliation step, this facial treatment followed with microdermabrasion step which involves the removing of the superficial layers of the skin with a special machine using the fine crystals or a diamond-tipped handpiece, or both to result in clearer looking skin.

Next step was application of the vitamins A, C and E. These 3 types of vitamins are good to reduce wrinkles, improve skin texture, stimulate the production of collagen in the dermis for firmer, smoother and younger looking skin. The penetration of the vitamins was helped by the ultrasonic device. The sound produced from the device was a bit annoying. Its like *nginng nginngg ngiinggg* >.< But this step makes my skin feeling a bit pain. I'm not sure whether because my skin is thin or because from the effect of removing the blackheads from my nose, forehead and chin area before the vitamins application.

Last step, is the therapeutic peeling mask. The peeling mask is cold and when the beauty consultant applied it on my face for 20 minutes, its so cooling and relaxing until I fell asleep for awhile. DRx's Alginate mask is made from high quality marine-derived ingredients with remarkable therapeutic properties. After that, they apply lotion and sunblock.

Below is the picture taken after my facial with DRx with my Samsung Note2 smartphone (there's a bit of redness but its not shown clearly in the picture). If you guys are interested with this facial, can visit their clinic at Plaza Damas, Jalan Sri Hartamas. This Essential Facial Plus cost RM210. ^^

Beauty Emergency Tips: How to Revive Back Your Dried Gel Eyeliner

Hola darlings!!!

I'm back backkk backkkkk !!! *eco sounds effect* ^^
I'm back with the tips and tricks on how to revive back your dried gel eyeliner (at least it can save you up for a night or two during those desperate-for-eyeliner time)

As we always heard and told, that we must store your gel eyeliner pot upside down; use a clean brush; keep it away from direct lights and cap it tightly after use or every use- which means you need cap it after each dip. Open > dip > close > apply > open > dip > close > apply > andddd open again > andddd dip again >> and so on.  OMG !! It's really OMG !!

However, the sad fact is, your gel eyeliner will still dry up after a period of time- before you even  finish using HALF of the product. (T.T) *cry* Below is the picture taken of my dried Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner after using it for like 10-12 months.

I've used a few different brands of pencil, liquid and gel eyeliner but this 'lady' aka Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, 'she' really works well on me. She can gives me the soft and smooth stroke of line and if you want to give it smoky effect, just add a little bit of black eyeshadow and tap on top of it. ^^

Okay, back to this topic. There a few tricks that we can use to breathe a new life into your dried gel eyeliner such as:

  • Liquid: Adding liquid like eye drops to the gel liner and mix. However this method is too messy and much time needed.
  • Oil: Adding 2 drops of Johnson & Johnson baby oil or a tiny quantity of Vaseline and mix. However this does not work well on me as during sunny days, my eyelids tends to be more oily and it can smudge the eyeliner to my lower eyelids.
  • Heat: Heat it up using blow/hair dryer or microwave. I prefer using this method as its faster and easy by just using medium-high heat of blow dryer and blast it at the dried gel eyeliner for 3-4 minutes. You can use the microwave and heat it up for 10 SECONDS.
After that you need to stir up the melted products to ensure the refreshed mixture is evenly distributed evenly.
Below is the picture taken after heat it up using the blow dryer method.

The dried gel eyeliner, through awakened did not really as impressive as before when it was at its best. Heating it up definitely made it softer than before and application was easier but it was not as creamy and smooth as when its first purchased. However, it still can save you up for a night or two when you do not have to go out and get a new one.

Left: Application using the dried gel eyeliner
Middle: Application after awakened the oil method by mixing it a little bit with the Vaseline (not recommended)
Right: Application after awakened by the heat method (I prefer using this method)

Hope this post is useful and see you in my next post ^^

Silviana.
